Descriptions

GlnR is a repressor that regulates gene expression in response to changes in nitrogen availability. The C-terminal autoinhibitory region was identified by sequence similarity with GlnR, which impedes the dimerization of GlnR and consequently prevents the binding of GlnR N-terminal domain to DNA.
